Johnny Depp’s former companions to provide proof in libel declare in opposition to The Solar

Two of Johnny Depp’s former companions will give proof at a trial of his libel declare in opposition to The Solar newspaper set to happen in July.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star is suing the tabloid’s writer, Information Group Newspapers (NGN), and its government editor, Dan Wootton, over an April 2018 article which referred to the 56-year-old as a “wife-beater”.

The article associated to allegations made in opposition to Mr Depp by his former spouse, actress Amber Heard – which the actor strenuously denies.

At a Excessive Courtroom listening to on Wednesday, attorneys for Mr Depp mentioned his ex-partner Vanessa Paradis has given a witness assertion by which she described the actor as a “sort, attentive, beneficiant and non-violent particular person and father”.

Attorneys for Mr Depp sought to confess proof from Ms Paradis, who has two kids with the star, and actress Winona Ryder, with whom he had a relationship within the 1990s, as a part of his case in opposition to the writer – which was not opposed by NGN’s authorized group.

In her assertion, Ms Paradis mentioned: “I’ve recognized Johnny for greater than 25 years.

“We’ve been companions for 14 years and we raised our two kids collectively.

“Via all these years I’ve recognized Johnny to be a sort, attentive, beneficiant, and non-violent particular person and father.”
